Fantasy Baseball

It's that time of year again -- a battle for bragging rights with my friends. It started back in walnut with a handful of people 5 years ago. This year we have an all time high with 12 teams. Mostly familiar faces with some new (probably weaksauce) additions. I only say that based on prior experience (TC, JR, TL, NJ, etc.) ...... anyway -- I'm due for the gold medal this year. I will make the Fantasy Dog howl at Henry Gale.....

Twister

Friday night we decided to have a few friends over. We had finally cleaned up the backyard and with Daylight Savings Time finally in effect, it was nice to have it light outside until about 7:30. We have started to hang out with a few couples from Jeff's work who live in Redlands. We have really started to enjoy the company of those that live close by. We played a few games of Tail Gate Toss and Flip Cup and then Jeff decided to bring out the game of Twister. It was quite fun!!

Huntington Library

Last Saturday I went to the Huntington Library with three of my best friends from high school. We enjoyed lunch together in the tea room and then walked around the gardens. It was so beautiful. I know that we don't get to hang out together often, but I truly love these girls. We have a special bond that is so different from any other friendship I will ever have. We have been friends for 13 years now and I know that we will all be friends for many more. Love you girls!!

Biking

After school on Friday I went Mountain Biking in Loma Linda. As usual, I was bringing up the rear....one because I have the least experience and two because I am out of shape. Matt and Dustin are two other math teachers at RHS. Next time I'll post a video but this is a pic from the top of the mountain. Behind us is Moreno Valley.

Hanger 24

Hanger 24 is a local brewery in Redlands- and when I say local, I mean we can ride our bikes there. We love their beer- especially the Orange Wheat. If you are ever in Redlands, we will definitely need to take you there!!

Puppies!

On Monday night, Lincoln got to meet a new friend. We went to our friends Nathan and Jenon's house for dinner. They just got a new puppy. It is a chihuahua mix. His name is Dunder Mifflin- Dunder for short. He is a very cute puppy. I think there is some dachshund in him because of his longer nose. Lincoln and Dunder didn't like each other too much at the beginning of the evening, but by the end of the night they seemed to get along well. We always thought Lincoln was a little dog, but compared to Dunder, he is huge :)

San Diego

This weekend we went to San Diego to visit our friends Kris and Laura. We had a great time staying at their place. San Diego is so beautiful. Jeff and I don't get the ocean breeze living in Redlands. They invited some other friends over to hang out on Saturday and we played a fun game of Wiffle Ball. I was the permanent catcher for both teams since I can't bat:) On Sunday morning they drove us to downtown La Jolla. The place where we took these pictures is the exact spot where they will say their vows when they get married in one month. It is gorgeous!! We can't wait to celebrate their special day with them.
