More Home Improvements

We have finally finished most of our ceilings. These are some pictures of Jeff texturizing the ceilings. Once we scraped the ceilings, some of the paint on the walls came off, so we decided to paint the front room and one of the bedrooms. Thanks Dad for coming out to help up paint. We are so excited to finally be done with our house projects. Now we can really enjoy the holidays. We finally got our tree yesterday!

Popcorn Ceilings

Over Thanksgiving break, Jeff and I decided to remove the popcorn ceiling from every room in the house. I don't know why we decided to do it ourselves, but once we started, we couldn't stop. So far, we have done 3 bedrooms, the hallway, and the front room. We only have our bedroom left to go. Next, we have to put texture on the ceilings and then paint them all. It is a much bigger project than we thought, but it makes a huge difference in our house!!

Legoland

This week we had a ton of fun taking our two nephews to Legoland. Joey loved the rides and Jeff loved the legos:) It was actually very impressive to see what they can make out of legos.

Iowa

Out on Grandma's Porch













We loved our trip to Iowa. We are blessed to be the godparents for our adorable nephew Anthony. We went to the Mississippi River for a day, hiked up Effigy Mounds, stayed in the cabin where Jeff got to try to catch a bat, went to an Iowa Cubs game, had tons of fun on my cousins farm, lit some amazing fireworks at my uncle's house(make sure you watch the video), and just hung out at my grandma's house. Jeff can't wait to move back some day.
