Palm Springs

We just got back from a night in Palm Springs with my best friend Julie and her awesome husband Dave. We hung out by the pool all day and had a really good B-B-Q dinner. We enjoyed having some quality time with our friends and have to do it again soon. We love you guys!!

My summer activity

I think it is only something my family will understand, but I really love doing puzzles. We grew up doing them together, and I still love them. I went and bought a 1000 piece puzzle last week. I spent about 4 days putting the puzzle together and was so happy when I finished it all by myself (Jeff really doesn't understand the enjoyment in doing puzzles). I was kind of obsessed with doing it and kind of want to go get another one. I know, it is kind of sad when I have enough time to just sit and do a puzzle for 4 days. Ahhh, the joys of summer:)

Hiking

This week Jeff and I decided to go hiking in nearby Forest Falls. We just went on a short hike because it was so hot. This week we are going to go again, but this time we will leave early and pack a lunch to take with us. We are just glad that we got out in nature and enjoyed doing something different.

Ensenada Cruise

After our trip to Hawaii we were lucky enough to go on a short cruise to Catalina and Ensenada. We went with our good friends Corinne and Andrew and their friends Katie and KC. We had a blast!! Cruising is so much fun.

Hawaii

Jeff's favorite part of the trip was the bike ride we went on. We were taken in a van to the top a volcano. We were able to look around, and then the van took us back down to 7,000 ft. At 7,000 ft we started our bike ride. We rode 28 miles down the volcano going somewhere between 30 and 40 mph. It was a little scary at first, but once I got comfortable with it, I was really able to enjoy the view.




Jeff and I just got back from one week in Maui. We had so much fun! We were able to spend time with his parents, aunt and uncle, cousins, and their 20 months old little boy. Jason fell in love with Jeff. Whenever Jeff would leave the room, Jason would ask where Jack went. We came to learn that Jack was his way of saying Jeff. It was so nice to be able to relax and enjoy the sun. We can't wait to go back!

Our Nephew Anthony Kenneth

I was so lucky to be able to go visit my sister Eileen, brother-in-law Anthony, and their newest addition Anthony. I got there when he was only 5 days old. It was so great to be able to spend time with him when he was truly a newborn. Here are a few pictures from my visit. I can't wait to go back in July. I am sure he will be a different little boy.

My Classroom

I just got back from Open House. It is so stressful to get everything ready for the night, but it is well worth it. The kids were so excited to show their parents their classroom and their parents loved it. I just wanted to share a few pictures because I am really proud of my room and my students.
